“Your accomplishments are impressive….”

We’ve all received these job application rejection emails from company Careers sites after applying online.

Rejection Emails Are a Notification, Not An Invitation

Here’s what not to do after receiving a job application rejection email:

Don’t email the Recruiter assigned to the requisition telling them that they missed something and you should be reconsidered.

No Nastygrams Emails to Recruiters

Don’t send a nastygram email to the Recruiter complaining about the company, the recruiting process, the application process etc…

Don’t apply to all of the other jobs on their Careers site as though that’s the key to getting on their radar. You will look scary and crazy and like you have way too much time on your hands.

Focus on Positive Actions

Apply for an internal transfer. Start contracting. Being your passion project. Launch important volunteer work. Just do something. Don’t sit and dwell.
